Commitment To Our Community

First Bank is committed to making a positive difference in every community in which we do business. Throughout 2019, we proudly supported 117 organizations with over $1,000,000 in charitable contributions. Our dedicated employees gave over 5,000 hours in volunteer service, including 4,058 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) hours. We also supported under-resourced communities with more than $49.7 million in community development loans and investments. As ingrained members of our communities, we strive to make a positive impact by giving of our time and resources, while delivering responsible financial products and services. We want our neighborhoods to grow and thrive as vibrant communities in which to work and live.p>

Reinvestment in our neighborhoods benefits all of us. That’s why First Bank supports nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life for individuals and families in the communities we serve, particularly those that are under-resourced. Following the Dierberg tradition of giving back to the community, First Bank values the role of being a community partner. After all, First Bank’s strong commitment to community has been part of our heritage for over a century. To help us further our mission, in 2019, we aligned with the Sherwood Forest and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County which are, a 501(c) (3) Nonprofit organizations that serves children from low-income families and under served communities from the St Louis and California areas who lives at or below the federal poverty line. These programs are here to help the children reach their full potential though mentoring programs and activities. Through these partnerships we were able donate and sponsor events.  We also donated to many food pantries across our footprint; What’s more, we also supported such solid organizations as Junior Achievement, KIPP, and the Equal Housing Opportunity Commission, just to name a few.

We believe a bank’s responsibility includes financing economic growth, but also giving back in other ways to our communities. Ways we are able to help is though Thrive, Small Business accounts, Consumer Lending, Mortgage, Home Equity loans, and debit and credit cards   to help low-to-moderate income clients in establishing good financial habits on their journey to re-building solid credit.

From our earliest days over 100 years ago as a community bank, we have remained dedicated to being a strong and reliable corporate neighbor.
